70 Butterflies for the
concert
in memory of Lady Diana

London, 1st July 2007 - Seventy Outline Butterfly Hi-packs installed by Britannia Row Productions at Wembley Arena contributed to the success of the mega-concert in memory of Lady Diana.
The impressive show – transmitted live in 140 countries and viewed by 500 million people – featured some of the world’s most important artists. They included Elton John, Rod Stewart, James Morrison, Take That, Duran Duran, Brian Ferry, Black Eyed Peas, Will Young, Nellie Furtado, Anastacia and Italy’s Andrea Bocelli.
The Butterfly Hi-packs were used along with twenty Subtech 218, and the system was powered by Outline T Series amplifiers. The system engineer for the maxi-concert was the well-known Sherif El Barbari.
This same Outlinearray will be used again at Wembley Arena on 7th July 2007 for the sound reinforcement at ‘Live Earth’, another record-breaking concert-event dedicated to the defence of the planet.
There too, there will be no lack of top names, first and foremost the ex vice-president of the United States, Al Gore, the event’s organizer.
The cities of London, Tokyo, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Hamburg, Johannesburg and New York will therefore host huge concerts whose participants will once the event’s more be some of the World’s most famous musicians: Madonna, Police, Foo Fighters, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Damien Rice, Black Eyed Peas, Bloc Party, Keane, Paolo Nutini, Duran Duran and Smashing Pumpkins. |
